Plans

Plans for a Friday.  Dennis and I were going in different directions.

Dennis thought a drive to Mankato and I could pick up some groceries.  I thought of staying home, saving a tank of gas in this less than nice day.  The dew point is out-ranking the humidity.

Dennis likes to drive his little red pickup and of that there is no doubt.  Dennis also stays in the pickup with the AC running and I am the one burning the shoe leather.  No matter where you go in Mankato, it is a trek getting to the place where your list takes you.

I suggested if he had cabin fever, he could drive the little red pickup around the area and town until he felt satisfied.  I could shop here in town if we really needed something desperately, which we didn’t.  I had planned ahead.

In our home, I have a wealth of things I can do.  Even deciding to do nothing is to have decided.  Dennis, as with many older men, never took the time to find a creative hobby to while away days like the one we are having today and which will become more uncomfortable as the weekend draws near.

We will be having a choice in our internet service later this summer.  The streets around our home look as if kids have been doing chalk art.  Center Point Energy is making gas lines in preparation in bright yellow.  The city crew is marking water lines in bright pink.  Much to get ready.

With that I will take my leave.  ♥
